Apartments Jurisa are positioned on a south coast of Vir; on the Rt Kozjak, XXVIII Site, Nr. 14. The position of the house includes two extraordinary features of Vir Holiday: the peacefull shadow of the old pinewood that smells beautifully all year round and the distance from the sea, which is only a few steps.
Apartments Jurisa – Vir are 13 km far from Nin and 30 km far from Zadar, trevelling over the bridge. In front of the Apartments there is own concrete entrance into the sea (suitable for for smaller boats), what makes it possible to visit these places as well as any of numerous islands (there is the string of 300 islands surrounding Vir) over the sea, as well as National Park Kornati.
Apartments Jurisa are on the first flour of the family house, and each ofthese two apartments is around 50m2 large. They are connected via the large terrace, from which you have a beautiful view over the sea and the islands. That feature makes the apartments Jurisa perfect choice for two families who want to spend their holidays together, but who also wants to be comfotable.
Each Apartment consists of: one bedroom for two persons; a shower bathroom; one completely equipped kitchen and a living room (TV/Sat) that can be turned into a one-more-bedroom for two persons.
The Apartments have separate entrance into the house and there is only the coast between them and the sea. The food can be bought in a self-service shop around 1,5 km from the Apartments Jurisa, but you are also wellcome to visit the town center and its market-place with colorful heaps of fruit and vegetables, as well as Vir restaurants and cafes with terraces in the shade and traditional konoba wine-cellars. There you can also find a disco-club, domestic folklore, various shops, medical service, pharmacy, tourist-office, exchange-office and rent-a boat.
The Apartments Jurisa are opening on the 1st June and closing on 30th September. The price for one Apartment (for 1 family or 4 persons at the most) is € 70,00 per day plus Tourist Tax.
* Notes about the Island Vir *
The first historical records of Vir reach back to 1069 relating to Charter of the Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV. In this document, better-known as Mare Nostrum Dalmaticum, the island of Vir was named "Ueru" and "Veru" for which the historians presume its old -Mediterranean origin meaning "pasture".
Over the years Vir became a tourist place of many contrasts, so that some people call it thance "The island of Contrasts". Nature at its purity can be seen on Vir, from pasture glades to magnificent pine-woods and other Mediterranean vegetation, cultivated vineyards, fields and gardens, the intact meadowlands, valleys down to the karstic hills slightly above one hundred meters, arranged in a chain from the south-west to the north-west of the island, from sandy to rocky beaches, from leveled to steep shores, from old Mediterranean houses to modern luxurious villas, from stony paths and macadam to asphalt roads, from serene ancient places to lively streets bursting with night-life, from crowded beaches to secluded bays.
The average annual temperature is above 15 C, the average July-temperature about 25 C, whereas the lowest temperature is that in January about 6,5 C. The nearby two seas-northern and southern - allow a pleasant feeling of bathing in the summer, even by the summer winds: warm wind jugo on the northern and bora on the southern beaches.
