The Kudelik apartments
September 2005 my wife and I spent 8 days in one of Kudelik apartments.We had a verry good time.The apartment was spacious and well equipped .
We had a nice sleeping room with good beds and a nice living room with kitchen.Bath and toilet was also first class.But best of all was the large terrase in front of the apartment.
Here , we had breakfast every morning and some other meals and enjoyed the beautiful view over the old town of Trogir and part of the Adriatic sea.
The host and hostess , Stipe and Biljana are very friendly and helpful and gave us all necessary information and good advce.
A smoll supermarket can be reached in about 5-6 minuts walk.
The old town is about 10 minutes away , and here you have a big supermarket and a colourful open market with fruit , vegetables,bread , chees ect....
Price are very reasonable .
The old , historical town is unique and you can spend many days by exploring the many fine churches and colourful palaces.
You can swim at some places near the Kudelik apartments , and the water is clear and warm, but you not find many sandy beaches – what is also the casein most other parts of Croatia.The best place not far aeay (2 kilometeres) from the apartment is found in Okruk Gornji. If you have no car , it is possible to reach that place by bus from a stop nesr the Kudelik apartments or from Trogir itself by boat.
The beach is quite good and ther are also some attractive restaurans, also pizzerias, in all price classes.
You may make your own choice.
Trogir is also a good startingpoint for excursions, also without own car, as the bus system is functioning rather well, although some busses are from the old days.Yoi can go to Split , which is worth visiting, in particular the old center and the harbour, and from the harbour where you will find the main bus station.
From here you can proceed along the beautiful coast in southern direction.
There you may find some sandy beaches , and you can make the excursion in one day.
You can use local bus, but try to catch a bis from Trogir, coming from the North (Sibenik) , because these busses are faster and usually have their terminal at the main bus station at the harbour of Split close to the old city, the lively harbour promenade and busses in other directions.
Another whole day excursion to be recommended is a visit to the Krka National park in the North.
Take the bus for Sibenik and change to a local bus for Skradin.
From here you can walk and sail and admire the nature with the unique waterfalls.
There are of course many other possibilities , and with a car it will be somewhat easier, but you can manage without vehicle!
As you will understand , a vacation at the Kudeliks in Trogir is certain to be a success, and price are reasonable.
